Okuma V-65A VSystem Spin Reel - Alum Body The marquee spinning reel from the company that is setting the standard for spinning technology. The culmination of a multinational development project, the VSystem respresents the ultimate spinning technology available. The VSystem is built on the foundation of our patented EOS elliptical oscillation drive gears. This revolutionary oscillation system offers superior line lay while maintaining unmatched stability. Due to the elliptical shape of the gears, they are constantly engaged during the two stroke oscillation. The VSystem also features the new Dual Drag Force system, DFD. Language in Danger The Loss of Linguistic Diversity and the Threat to Our Future < P> Every two weeks the world loses another indigenous language. Evolving over hundreds or even thousands of years, distinct languages are highly complex and extremely adaptable, but they are also more fragile and endangered than we might expect. Of the approximately 5,000 languages spoken around the globe today, Andrew Dalby predicts that half will be lost during this century. How will this linguistic extinction affect our lives? Is there a possibility that humanity will become a monolingual species? Should we care? < /P> < P> < I> Language in Danger< /I> is an unsettling historical investigation into the disappearance of languages and the consequences that future generations may face. Whether describing the effects of Latin's displacement of native languages in the aftermath of Rome's imperial expansion or the aggressive extermination of hundreds of indigenous North American languages through a brutal policy of forcing Native Americans to learn English, Dalby reveals that linguistic extinction has traditionally occurred as a result of economic inequality, political oppression, and even genocide. Bringing this historical perspective to bear on the uncertain fate of hundreds of pocket cultures-cultures whose languages are endangered by less obvious threats, such as multinational economic forces, immigration, nationalism, and global telecommunications -- < I> Language in Danger< /I> speaks out against the progressive silencing of our world's irreplaceable voices.< /P> < P> More than an uncompromising account of the decline of linguistic diversity, < I> Language in Danger< /I> explains why humanity must protect its many unique voices. Sinceall languages represent different ways of perceiving, mapping, and classifying the world, they act as repositories for cultural traditions and localized knowledge. The growing trend toward linguistic standardization -- for example, politically designated national |

A. First it was not a multinational effort to go to war with their country or occupy it after wards. However the US forced a coalition of forces to join them through political strength. 21 countries had human support there, with some countries as little as 12 people. Only 4 countries had troops in theater. The British were the only country with significant number at a max of about 8000 at one time. Most of the other countries were there as tokens or observers. Right now the numbers are approximately this in theater: (excluding US) British 1200 Australia 500 Georgia 500 Denmark 35 (as NATO) All other countries are ther as "observers" and are not in theater. Except for the British, it has in actuality been US forces in number all… [cont.]
