In the Exorcist, what sign does Regan exhibit to concern her mother enough to take her to the doctors?
Q. I think the script for The Exorcist is brilliantly constructed, but it is rather vague about the reason the mother took Regan to see the doctor in the first place. We're told it's hyperactivity, but it does seem all rather sudden.

Why is eveyrone still whinning about Regan Smith, he cheated to pass Tony and NASCAR did the right thing?
Q. I'm so tired of hearing that Regan Smith won the race. Get a life, I'm not a Tony fan but he did win the race fairly. He didn't push him under the line, Regan Smith chose to go underneath the line and passed Tony illegally. What NASCAR should do is dock Regan Smith owners and drivers points plus make him pay a fine for cheating.

A. Tony won fair and square. People complain NASCAR isn't consistent with the rules and then when they are they complain that they don't like the rules. Jimmy Spenser and Ricky Craven have both driven many plate races and said the rules are clear. Don't go below the yellow line. If you get forced down there you have to come back up onto the track. Regan made no attempt to do that and then made the pass. He stayed down there even when Tony gave him room. Tony did the exact same thing as Regan Smith in 2001 and got the exact same penalty. It was at Daytona in July 2001, shortly after NASCAR implemented the rule that there would be no advancing of position if a car passes another under the yellow line a rule that only applies to… [cont.]

Q. why does Tom Regan reject the view that we can have only indirect duties to nonhuman animals?
Asked by Kelly R. - Fri Jul 17 22:01:49 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. We shouldn't care one way or the other. "One of the most destructive anti-concepts in the history of moral philosophy is the term duty. ...The meaning of the term duty is: the moral necessity to perform certain actions for no reason other than obedience to some higher authority, without regard to any personal goal, motive, desire or interest. "The arch-advocate of duty is Immanuel Kant; he went so much farther than other theorists that they seem innocently benevolent by comparison. Duty, he holds, is the only standard of virtue; but virtue is not its own reward: if a reward is involved, it is no longer virtue. The only moral motivation, he holds, is devotion to duty for duty s sake; only an action motivated exclusively by such… [cont.]

Q. also how many races will Mike Bliss start this season?

A. Yep he will be with Furniture Row Racing and also FRR will be using RCR equipment so that means he will more than likely be running the whole season. It appears they will attempt to run Mike Bliss all season. In this article they mention trying to be in the top 35 after the 5th race so I am assuming he will try to compete in every race. This article says he was named full time driver.

Why do people think Regan is a masculine name?
Q. It was first used by Shakespeare in 1606 King Lear play as a girl name. Is it because people think of Ronald Reagan? Personally, I think the spelling Reagan is more masculine, but Regan I would never use for a boy. I asked a question about using the name the other day and a couple people said it was a 'horridly masculine name for a girl' or something like that.
Asked by unknown - Wed Feb 11 09:21:45 2009 - - 17 Answers - 2 Comments

A. I guess cause we just recently had a President for 8 yrs with the name Regan...regardless how you spell it. However, you need to name that child what feels good in your heart. It's not a bad name at all. I named my daughter Aubrey 23 yrs ago. Aubrey is not only listed under boys names, but it is historically a name for colored boys...although not for a few generations and my daughter is a beautiful white girl...blonde...blue eyed...and guess what? She looks like an Aubrey. Children grow into their names. Name her Reagan if you have the heart to. If you don't you may regret listening to opinions of others cause in the end their opinions do not matter. God Bless.

The best way to go from Union Station to Regan Airport in DC?
Q. I'll take train to DC (Union Station), then I need to go to Regan Airport from Union Station, except taxi, what is the simple way to get to Regan Airport in DC, lightrail/bus? where I can find the information. Thanks. How much will it cost if I take taxi from union station to Regan Airport in DC.
Asked by E.T. - Tue Nov 3 02:26:24 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The simplest way from Union Station is Metro Rail. Here's how: From Union Station, take a Red Line train heading towards Shady Grove. Exit at Gallery Place/Chinatown Station. At Gallery Place/Chinatown, catch a Yellow Line train heading towards Huntington. Exit the train at Reagan Airport. Total travel time is about 15 minutes. You can also again take a Red Line train headed to Shady Grove and exit this time at Metro Center. From there take a Blue Line train heading towards Franconia. Exit the train at Reagan Airport. However this trip is longer, with a travel time of maybe 25 minutes. Either way, the fare is $2.15 during a peak/rush hour trip or $1.35 at all other times. Here's the Metro Rail link

Why does Tom Regan thinks animals have rights?
Q. How could his statement, All who have inherent value have it equally, whether they be human animals or not lead to a problem?
Asked by bmboyd88 - Mon Dec 3 21:49:20 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It may not be as simple as declaring that "we" just "naturally" have more rights than animals. After all, "we" are animals, too, even if we do a few things other animals don't (like make weapons capable of destroying our own way of life, wearing clothes, and inventing religious beliefs). A statement about rights is very often a challenge to assumptions about what it actually means to enjoy such rights. For too long, many humans behaved as though other humans (especially dark-skinned ones brought by force to the West) did not have the same rights. (Remember 3/5 of a person?) A very important moral challenge is to ask: who do rights "belong" to? Do they belong to those who can marshall the might to keep them? Or do they belong to those… [cont.]

Should Regan Smith been awarded the win at Talladega?
Q. Well, I heard it was every man for himself on the last lap and you could go underneath the yellow line. Also Earnhardt did it in 2003 and he won so Regan Smith should have won this race, What do you think?
Asked by Evan W - Sun Oct 5 19:34:03 2008 - - 22 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Totally wrong, if you are force below the yellow line everything is fair game. Reagan went high and Tony blocked him, Reagan went low and took the line officially when he got he nose under Tony's car (this is eveident by the beaten rear quarter of Stewarts car. Stewart did not want him to have the line so he knocked him below the yellow. Stewart did not move back up the lane, therefore Reagan's only options were to knock Tony back out of the way (which is what I would have done...eye for an eye) or to run where he was at. Reagan did absolutely nothing wrong and should not have had the win stripped away from him. Anyone who believes Stewart was the legitimate winner is an idiot who knows nothing of Nascar or the rules. Nascar once again… [cont.]

Does anybody have information on private mercenary endeavors to Nicaragua during the Regan administration?
